it was kind of strange writing this because I didn't know whether to only take into account my current tastes, or albums which have been important to me throughout the decade (I was 11 years old in 2000...). I quickly decided to abolish the latter idea, and for the sake of decency leave off gorillaz' self-titled album and morning view by incubus, despite my assuredness at the time of their immortal places in music history. Slightly more unfortunately, this also knocked off kid a by radiohead, which probably influenced my current tastes more than I can know.
